WHY JOIN KLA?  By supporting the Klinger Lake Association, you help fulfill our mission of:

. . . preserving, protecting and improving Klinger Lake and surrounding property, and keeping all members informed of activities and conditions affecting the welfare of the area . . .

The Klinger Lake Association is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization; membership dues and other contributions to KLA are tax deductible.

Membership in the Klinger Lake Association is open to everyone and anyone who has our shared interest in the protection and preservation of Klinger Lake.

Your Klinger Lake Association provides the following benefits:
  • Enables on-going professional lake surveys and treatment for invasive plants such as Eurasian watermilfoil and starry stonewort
  • Provides a volunteer for the Cooperative Lakes Monitoring Program to monitor water quality throughout the year
  • Maintains the level of the lake by adjusting the dam in accordance with the County Circuit Court order and provides a representative to work with the County Drain Commissioner to maintain the dam
  • Maintains contact with the County Road Commission to keep members apprised of the condition of roads and planned improvements
  • Sends a representative to the annual State and District 3 meetings of the Michigan Lakes & Streams Association to keep you informed of issues affecting riparians
  • Coordinates the annual Fireworks Show each July, including patrol boat on the night of the fireworks
  • Provides each member with a directory listing all residents as well as other useful information
  • Assigns Beach Representatives to each beach to facilitate communications and report any of your concerns back to the Board
  • Maintains and secures historical records concerning the lake

As you can see, the Klinger Lake Association is involved in many activities to help maintain the quality of the lake now and in the future. Please do your part by joining us with your membership!
